Secure Downloads
In this section you will learn how to manage groups, manage users, set permissions, and secure downloads
These tools are used to create a “members only” section, company intranet, limited web editing access, or setting up groups for secure downloads. To create a user, the user must belong to a group. A group can have as little as one user or as many users as needed. Permissions are then given to the group as a whole. Refer to the diagram below as a visual example throughout the guide for reference.
MANAGE GROUPS / Creating New Group
- Click on “Manage Groups.”
- To create new group, click on “Add New Group.”
- Add a Group Name – Example: Sales
- Add a Group Description – Example: Sales Team Employees
- Click Submit.
MANAGE GROUPS / Adding Permissions to Groups
- Click on “Manage Groups”.
- Click on “Permissions” icon.
- Add check mark to “Secure Downloads” or any other pages with secure/restricted information.
- Click Submit.
- Click Return.
MANAGE USERS / Creating a New User
- Click on “Manage Users.”
- To create new user, click on “Add New User.”
- Add a Permission Type.
- User: Permission to login and view secure/restricted information.
- Super User: Limited access to Admin Panel (As determined by Administrator).
- Administrator: Full access Admin Panel; Determines what component access a Super User has.
- Add a Group from the drop-down list (refer to above Manage Group instructions for setting up Groups).
- Create a UserID.
- Create a Password.
- Add First Name.
- Add Last Name.
- Add Phone number.
- Add email address.
- Click Submit.
Adding Permissions to Users
User Permissions are normally added to Super Users to give access to Administrative Components, such as “Gallery,” “Edit Pages,” “Calendar,” or “Events.”
- Click on “Manage Users.”
- Click on “Permissions” icon.
- Add check mark to next to Administrative Components.
- Click on “Submit.”
- Click on “Return.”
SECURE DOWNLOADS / Adding Secure Downloads
- Click on “Secure Downloads.”
- Select Group for access (only one group can access).
- Give a Download Name.
- Click on “Submit.”
- Page changes to Upload.
- Click on “Upload.”
- Search for file to upload.
- File was uploaded.
- Click on “Close.”
Viewing Secured Data
- Navigate to website in browser.
- Click on “Login.”
- Enter User Name and Password. This brings up the main menu.
- Select item on menu to view information.
